Leadership

Jonathan Berger is a retired CEO of a leading publicly traded infrastructure company in the US. A former KPMG Corporate Finance partner, he is a seasoned Corporate Executive, Board Member, and Investment Banker. Mr. Berger has been the CEO of both public and private companies and has led two middle-market investment banking operations with over 100 bankers each. He has over 35 years of experience in multiple industries, including business services, construction, specialty contractor services, technology, and financial services
As an investment banker, he advised and executed well over a hundred transactions worth over $10 Billion in transaction value. Additionally, he led capital transactions over $10 Billion for his clients. Mr. Berger has been the CEO of a publicly-traded infrastructure firm with over 3,000 employees. He also was the CEO of a private technology implementation firm, with more than 100 employees. He has an undergrad degree from Cornell University and an MBA from Emory University.

Stephen Gatto is a member of the Advisory Council of the group. Mr. Gatto retired from Ernst & Young as a senior audit partner with 40 years of diversified experience serving complex, high growth companies at the firm. He assisted his clients with resolving complex accounting and auditing issues; completing mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures; performing due diligence procedures; completing initial and secondary public offerings; maintaining SEC and regulatory compliance, and providing tax and general business consulting.
Mr. Gatto served clients in a wide variety of industries including internet-based healthcare information services, telecommunications, software development and consulting services, and high technology equipment design and manufacturing. As a client-handling Global Coordinating Audit Partner, his clients included public and private companies that grew both organically and through successful mergers and acquisitions. He has been involved in over 50 initial and secondary public offerings.

Gary Graham, a former Gowlings partner, is an award-winning business lawyer with extensive corporate management experience. For over 25 years, he has been actively advising clients across a wide variety of sectors including in the manufacturing, energy, technology, life sciences, financial services, and broader public sectors. His specialties include corporate/commercial, mergers and acquisitions, project finance, employment, and labor.
Mr. Graham is experienced in the resolution of commercial disputes and has been involved in takeover bids, lock-up agreements, major international share and asset transfers and a broad range of customer, supplier, employee, inventor, and other contracts across a wide variety of businesses, including the defense, energy, I/T and broader public sectors. He was the recipient of the 2011 Hamilton Distinguished Citizen of the Year title and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2015. He was named among Best Lawyers in Canada every year in the period 2010-2017; Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory 2015-2017; and one of Canada’s Leading infrastructure Lawyers by Lexpert magazine in 2015.

Mark Dolan is a seasoned executive with 28 years of experience in the HVAC sector and is acclaimed for closing over 200 individual HVAC acquisitions and one large consolidator acquisition which alone is worth $600 million USD. He is the former President of Goodman Sales and Distribution, a leading manufacturer and distributor of HVAC and related equipment with annual revenues in excess of $2.0 Billion.
Under his leadership, Lennox Retail Inc grew from scratch into a $1.0 Billion company. He led the implementation of the standard operating system in over 120 locations in a short period and significantly improved operations. As the Vice-President, North American Operations for Service Experts Inc, he led the 8,000 employee decentralized organization by working through a regional operating structure managing nearly 200 operating service centers in the U.S. and Canada. He also built the finance and accounting organization structure and led the firm to meet the rigors of public company reporting and disclosures in connection with Lenox International Inc’s IPO.

Sam (Sriram) Vepuri is a former executive with Infosys, the technology giant, where he led multiple projects for industry-leading clients in a range of verticals including energy & utilities, health care & life sciences, high-tech discrete manufacturing, retail, and banking & insurance. Key clients include Southern California Edison, Apple, Cisco, Hitachi, Kraft, Wells Fargo, National Australia Bank, and Brit Insurance.
Mr. Vepuri is an accomplished executive with a graduate degree in Environmental Management (Energy, Policy, and Business) from Duke University, USA.
